Tigers Go To Washington!

What is Tigers go to Washington? TGTW is a series of events for undergraduate and graduate students seeking to learn more about the diverse opportunities for internship and full-time employment in the Washington, D.C. area. TGTW consists of several opportunities for you to personally connect with professionals in the D.C. area and to build your professional network. These professionals are Clemson alumni or parents of Clemson students who graciously volunteer their time at this event series.

The event series consists of:

  • Resume Critiques/Informational Interview Appointments – These one-on-one meetings allow you to gain more insight from a professional in your desired field.

  • Evening Professional Panel & Networking Event – This event allows you to hear advice from up to 16 professionals in either the business/government/non-profit industries or the science/technology/engineering/math industries and then personally talk with those panelists during a catered (hors d’oeuvres) open networking event.

  • Networking Luncheon – Invited students will have the opportunity to further connect with these professionals at a catered luncheon.

  • Optimize Your Tigers go to Washington Experience (Prep Workshops) – These workshops help you prepare for the professional panel/networking event and the one-on-one appointments by giving you advice on networking and what to expect during the event series. Attendance is highly encouraged so that you receive the first opportunity to sign up for the resume critiques/informational interview appointments.
