Coronavirus Response Status: We are Working Remotely

Following the State's and Clemson's response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the physical offices of the Center for Career and Professional Development (the Cooperative Education Program, the Michelin Career Center and the UPIC Program) are all closed. Although our offices are closed, our staff continues working remotely and we are eager to assist you. The Center for Career and Professional Development has developed this resource page for students, alumni, faculty, staff and employers to help in accessing our career services resources and staff.

On-campus Interviews: Any On-Campus interviews scheduled during closure will be re-schulded by the employer and the employer will contact the student directly. If you have on-campus interview questions please email Lona Dunston at lonad@clemson.edu.

  • Student Passwords: The Clemson JobLink system is accessed through the University’s Novell authentication system. If you cannot remember your student ID or password, please contact the CCIT help desk for assistance.

Currently, co-op assignments will continue as normal and there are no plans to recall co-op students from their sites. Please stay in touch with your co-op advisor in the Cooperative Education Program regarding the status of your co-op assignment.

Our partner companies may provide directives to their co-op students related to the COVID-19 situation. Please inform your co-op advisor of any actions taken by your company which will affect your co-op assignment. Our partner companies should also communicate with the program.

In the event that the University transitions temporarily to online instruction and requires faculty, staff, and students to work remotely, your co-op advisor at Clemson will continue to monitor your assignment and provide support as usual.

UPIC Intern Submission TimeSheets:
  • All timesheets must be submitted via email to upicpay@clemson.edu. There will not be an option to drop off timesheets at our office since the University is closed.
  • All timesheets must include signatures for both the mentor and the intern
  • Digital signatures are acceptable
  • If you do not have Adobe Pro downloaded on your computer, you can download it from Clemson’s software website found here: https://ccit.clemson.edu/support/faculty-staff/software/software-licenses/

Currently, co-op assignments will continue as normal and there are no plans at this time to recall co-op students from their sites. Knowing that organizations are monitoring the COVID-19 situation as well, we are instructing co-op students to follow the directives of their co-op companies.

Please notify us of any action your company takes that will affect a student you are hosting in a co-op assignment. Likewise, if the University makes a decision that affects our co-op students and our company partners, we will let you know.

If the University transitions temporarily to online instruction and closes campus, our co-op students who are on rotations should not be affected. The co-op advisors will continue to monitor the students’ experiences and provide support as usual.
